A final pre-conference message from NSRC President Lisa Fuchs:
Hello, and hope you all are excited for this week as we come together to celebrate the NSRC’s 40th annual State Respiratory Conference. We have branded this conference as our “Reinspire” conference, as it was our vision a year ago to offer a conference that would provide the opportunity to leave you reinspired. We searched for a venue that would allow you to fully escape from your busy schedule and relax for a day or perhaps longer – we found it. We searched for inspiring presentations, from some of the top speakers in their fields to help reignite your passion – we found them. And we worked to create a fun and engaging atmosphere where you can reconnect with fellow therapists – we hope to offer that.
As we look back over 40 years, our field has changed tremendously. You all have been a part of that history and should be proud to call yourselves respiratory therapists. It is because of dedicated, passionate, and caring professionals like you who save the lives of many, there’s no magic about it!
Final details about the conference:
BREAKFAST: Please note there will not be a full-scale breakfast offered at this year’s conference. Coffee/juice/water along with mixed fruits and granola bars will be available first thing in the morning available to all attendees. The Timber Dining Room will be open for breakfast from 7:00-9:00 am located within the hotel at your own purchase. If you are staying at the hotel, then breakfast is included in your room fee. Plan accordingly with the opening of the conference.
HOTEL INFO: If you have a reservation at the Lied Lodge, then breakfast will be included after your first night stay. Breakfast will be offered in the Timber Dining Room from 7:00-9:00 AM. Be sure to get there early!
ROAD UPDATES: Please check Nebraska 511/Iowa 511 for latest updates on road conditions. At this time all of Highway 75 and Highway 2 remain open to Nebraska City entering from the north, west, and south. Highway 2 east of Nebraska City at the NE/IA boarder remains closed stretching east into Iowa.
SOCIAL EVENT: Located at the Arbor Day Farm only ½ mile walking distance from the hotel via walking trail. You can choose to walk or drive down to Arbor Day Farms. We will host the social event from 7:30-8:30 pm.
JEOPARDY BOWL: Following the social event, we welcome you to join us back in the Rosenow Conference Room to cap the evening with some friendly competition of our respiratory-themed Jeopardy trivia game from 9:00-10:30 pm.
REGISTRATION: Registration is closed. Anyone wishing to sign up for the conference the day off will incur a 20% upcharge at the door.
