Madonna kicks off 2016 telehealth series
Madonna Rehabilitation Hospitals, Community Asthma Education Initiative of Lincoln and the Nebraska Society for Respiratory Care will kick off the 2016 Chronic Disease Management Across the Continuum of Care Series” with its first session on Jan. 25.
The Community Asthma Education Initiative of Lincoln will be paying the fee for any facility across the state that wishes to participate in the Jan. 25 kick-off event. Each facility can have as many participants as they wish for 2.0 hours of continuing education.
Their goal this year is to reach and educate healthcare providers and community participants in chronic disease management and self care.
The two-hour programs will be offered live at Madonna and via the Nebraska Telehealth Network across the state. They will meet the criteria for respiratory therapy and nursing continuing education units. The programs will occur every two months throughout the year.
The live programs at Madonna are offered free of charge.
The Jan. 25 sessions include:
“Asthma Management Guidelines: Everyone’s a Player”, by Nan Nathenson, RRT, RYT. 4:30-5:30 p.m. CST.
“Winning with Asthma: Practical Tips for Parents and Coaches”, by Jill Korta, MPT, ATC, CPI.
