It is time again to nominate an outstanding respiratory colleague for the 2019 NSRC Therapist of the Year Awards. Deadline for nominations is April 8.
The NSRC is looking for nominations from three regions in Nebraska: Omaha, Lincoln, and Out State Nebraska. Members may nominate more than one individual.
All nominees and winners will be recognized at this year’s state conference, set for May 2-3 at The Lied Lodge in Nebraska City.
NSRC members honored three colleagues as Therapist of the Year at the 2017 State Conference. They were:
- Mike Luethge, RRT, Omaha Region.
- Sara Morton, RRT, Lincoln Region.
- Lindsay Uldrich, RRT, Outstate Nebraska.
The NSRC's 2016 State Conference had another fun and succesful meeting in Lincoln May 19-20 at the Holiday Inn Downtown.
Respiratory Therapist of the Year winners were Ashely Magall, Omaha; Heidi Dostal, Lincoln; and Danny VanRenken, outstate.
Student grants were awarded to Randi Sipp, Southeast Community College; Peter Chambers, Methodist College; Ahmed AlThobaiti, Immanuel/Midlands Hospitals; and Jordon Flynn, Metro Community College.

"A Mother's Love," a photo by Christine Villegas, was the winner of the NSRC's 2015 Photo Contest. She is an RRT at Madonna Rehabilitation hospital in Lincoln.

The NSRC's 2015 State Conference moved to Lincoln this year. Meeting rooms in the Holiday Inn Downtown were packed with more than 160 respiratory care professionals who gathered to earn CEUs and connect with their peers.
Several awards were announced during the conference. Respiratory Therapist of the Year winners were Tim Kelly, Omaha; Christine Villegas, Lincoln and Linda Nelson, outstate.Read More
