Town Hall meeting

The NSRC is hosting two Town Hall meetings via Zoom to talk about changes to our scope of Practice.

Meeting times are

• Oct 12, 730 p.m. Central/6:30 p.m. Mountain Time.
• Oct 13 12:00 noon Central/11:00 a.m. Mountain Time.

Much of the wording in regards to respiratory services is outdated, and the scope of respiratory practice has not been updated since 1986, which could lead to respiratory therapists not being utilized to the full extent within their scope of practice, Nichols said. With that, the Nebraska Society for Respiratory Care has applied for a 407 to update the definition of respiratory care and current practices.
