NSRC launches Join in January campaign
The NSRC wants to encourage respiratory therapists from across Nebraska to get involved and join the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC). What does the AARC membership do for you? It will help you become a better respiratory therapist, says Lil O'Neill, NSRC president.
Respiratory therapists who join as a new member in January will be entered into the drawing for a $100.00 Amazon gift card. The NSRC's goal is to increase membership by 10 percent, O'Neill said.
Candidates sought for 2020 board positions
There is still time for NSRC members to submit their names for the upcoming 2020 elections for the NSRC Board of Directors. There are a few positions that have no applicants at this time.
"This is a great opportunity for you to promote our profession, network with other RTs and be involved at the state level," said President Lil O'Neill.

NSRC wins 2019 Summit Award
The Nebraska Society for Respiratory Care was awarded the 2019 Summit Award during the Annual Business Meeting held at AARC Congress in New Orleans on Nov. 10, 2019.

Each year, the American Association for Respiratory Care’s House of Delegates recognizes one affiliate for their efforts, achievements and contributions toward the promotion of the respiratory care field and in furthering the level the professionalism for respiratory care and the respiratory therapist.

Celebrate 2019 Respiratory Care Week
2019 Respiratory Care Week started Sunday, Oct. 20 and runs through Saturday, Oct. 26.
"This is a great chance to reach out to our community, patients, and colleagues, and share your story," said Lil O'Neill, NSRC president. "Let them know about the many unique benefits respiratory therapists bring each day to patient care."
